We are a group of four high school students from Northern Virginia. In our community, we have personally seen a lot of our friends and peers vape, whether it's in the stalls of the school bathroom or in the basement of someone's house during a party.
Vaping is omnipresent in our community. Beyond our peers, students as young as in sixth or seventh grade have been increasingly participating in vaping. Yet, our goal here isn't to force anyone to quit. Quitting is a personal, hard-wrought journey that only the user can muster up the personal strength required. Our job is to help, to educate, and to ensure that our generation can become the next tobacco free generation. We don't need vapes in order to have a good time in life. Strength truly comes in numbers, and we can't accomplish such a big feat alone. Your support would encourage the world to erase the positive association around vaping. Together, we can ensure that there is an equitable future for all. |
